- a young couple meet, date and fall in love
- Jim is HIV + and partner (Chris) is negative
- they discuss HIV situation - both are ok with it (Jim uneasy with it)
- everything is going well except that Jim starts holding back and picking fights
- relationship gets rocky - Chris tries harder to accommodate Jim
- big fight - Jim storms out
- Chris tries to get him back (see-saw success)
- Jim leaves - tells Chris he is marrying former relationship partner
- (kicker) Jim is giving up his real love (Chris) to marry HIV+ former partner because he is afraid he will infect (kill) Chris and that is not nice to do to someone you love.
